One in four people in the UK experiences mental distress. For lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people this is higher. Discrimination impacts on people’s lives in damaging ways and mainstream services, including those concerning mental health, often fail to provide adequate responses.
At PACE we understand the experience and needs of lgbt people and we have twenty years' in-depth and extensive experience of responding to them. Every year over 1200 people use our services. For them, what PACE does can be vital. This is what some of them say.
“A life-saver at this moment in time. Thank you for walking with me an extra mile.”
“PACE helped me through a very tough time when I was falling apart.”
"I realise that what I think and feel is normal. I'm more confident about my sexuality and myself as a person."
We are committed to offering our services to people on low incomes and many of our services are free of charge. PACE is a charity and dependent on donations.
